Environmental Testing

Many materials and electronic devices are sensitive to humidity and moisture, making them susceptible to corrosion and decay. Adding temperature and/or pressure accelerates the deterioration and shortens testing time. By doing so, we are then able to predict the lifetime of the materials under test. Electrical signals and electrical measurements can be taken while the subjected devices are in the environmental chambers to evaluate the effect of the stress on overall circuit performance

Reliability testing to the following standards, and others, is performed:

  • MIL-STD-883
  • MIL-STD-750
  • J-STD-020D Moisture-Reflow Sensitivity Classification
  • JESD22-A101 Steady State THB
  • JESD22-A102 Autoclave
  • JESD22-A103 HTS
  • JESD22-A108 Bias Life
  • JESD22-A110 HAST
  • JESD22-A113 Preconditioning
  • JESD22-A118 Unbiased HAST
  • IES LM79 and IES LM80
